Posted in Uncategorized at 7:07 pm by

It’s been about 6 weeks, but the two young’uns in the house are finally playing.  eeee   So happy.  Here was Adelaide tonight with Bagheera.   And check it out, he’s instigating.

Happy week to everyone!

Mine!

Posted in Uncategorized at 2:59 am by

I don’t think Adelaide felt like sharing today.  What do you think?

We got ice and snow today too.  But I didn’t get any new pictures of that.  Maybe tomorrow.  She was having fun pouncing around in it though.

Adelaide’s First Snow

Posted in Uncategorized at 2:43 am by

I was hoping it would snow.  It’s been really cold for us here in Georgia, so it might as well snow and make it worth it.  Today, I got my wish.  Wasn’t a ton of snow, but enough to send Adelaide into a husky utopia.  To save this occasion for posterity, I made a short movie of her first playtime in the snow.  Enjoy.

Here’s some more funny Adelaide.  I’m doing from my phone, so we will see if this works.

Did somebody say O-U-T-S-I-D-E?

Don’t you love how excited our pups get for certain words?  Walk?  Treat?  Outside?

Miss Adelaide loves to go outside.  And here is her response to when she was asked if she wanted to go…

And while we were out there, we played with our new glow-in-the-dark ball.  I recommend getting one of those.  I get home after it’s dark, and this way we can still play.  She loved it.

Good Night Tripawdland from Adelaide

Here is a common ritual in the house… go outside for potty, come in for peanut butter and water, head upstairs, and then one more rowdy session before bed.  Enjoy!

Adelaide got ALL wound up tonight

Posted in Uncategorized at 4:34 am by

Well, it was my fault.  I instigated it.  It’s a bit dark, but here is our video of Addy being silly.  (FYI – Aissa is barking in the background and there is a squeaky toy, so if you have anyone that might get excited by noise, you might want to turn your volume down).

Our Pack is Growing

Before I go into more details about that, I have to share this cute picture of this afternoon all sleeping on the couch (including me).  Notice that princess Adelaide is on a pillow, she always is on a pillow.  Silly girl.

Couch time

Now, without further ado…

Meet Bagheera…

Bagheera Intro

Adelaide found Bagheera just outside the fence on Sunday morning.  He was sitting there watching her as she was trying to figure out how to either jump over the fence or squeeze underneath it to get to him.  When I came to find out what was going on and saw him, he showed that he wanted to come see me, but didn’t trust her (can’t blame him, she’s a spaz).  I put Adelaide and Aissa back into the house and went back to the fence and he was trying to figure out how to also get through the fence to come see me.  He figured it out and came right to me.  I picked him up and he was ALL lovey.  He is so sweet.

I put him in the garage to figure out what to do.  He didn’t have a collar.  He seemed in good health.  I got him some food and water and he ate like he hadn’t eaten in a while.  But  you never know with young ones, they can be piggies.  He’s about 6 months old and he’s been to the vet to get checked out.  All healthy.  No microchip.  As most of you know, it was super cold Sunday through Tuesday, so I am glad I was able to find him and bring him into shelter.

The name Bagheera is after the black panther in Jungle Book.  That is a fun and lovable character, so I found it fitting for him.  It did take me a few days to decide on a name as my friends on here can attest.  He also has the name Little Man.  Introductions to the rest of the family are coming along slowly and good.  He’s met everyone.  But only in small doses.  He’s be out running around under supervision already if it wasn’t for Adelaide being so exuberant with him.  She so wants to play with him!

From our house to yours, wishing everyone a beautiful, warm, and safe weekend.

Karma, Adelaide, Assia, Mathilde, Morrigan, Bagheera, and forever our angel Brendol

It’s Santy Paws! It’s Santy Paws!

Posted in Uncategorized tagged , , at 5:39 pm by

Yep, you got it.  I took the girls to see Santy Paws!  And they were such good girls (do you think someone told them about the naughty and nice list?)  I wasn’t sure what they would think about a man dressed in a red suit with a big fake white beard.  I mean, think about it, it’s kind of suspicious.  But my girls are SO not guard dogs, and they had no problems with him.  And when I asked them to sit and wait for the pictures…. they did!

The Day Before Christmas

“Tis the day before Christmas,
And all through the house,
The puppies are squeaking an old rubber mouse.
The wreath which had merrily hung on the door,
Is scattered in pieces all over the floor.

The stockings that hung in a neat little row,
Now boast a hole in each of it’s toes.
The tree was subjected to bright-eye whims,
And now, although splendid, it’s missing some limbs.

I catch them and hold them,”Be good I insist!”
They lick me, then run off to see what they’ve missed.
And now as I watch them, the thought comes to me,
That theirs is the spirit that Christmas should be.

Should children and puppies yet show us the way,
And teach us the joy that should come with this day?
Could they bring the messege that’s written above,
And tell us that. most of all, Christmas is love!

An Adelaide Update

Posted in Uncategorized at 7:16 pm by

Hey Everyone!  How is everybody’s holiday season going?  Don’t forget to hug you babies to relieve stress this season ;D (brendol.tripawds.com).

I was finally able to capture one of Addy’s tricks.  When we are in the car, she absolutely cannot sit or lay down for fear of missing something.  She stands the entire time.  And as any tripawd parent knows, their balance is as good on three legs.  Therefore, Adelaide likes to stand behind the passenger seat and use her chin to “hold” the headrest to give her stability, and this way she still can see everything and not miss a thing.  Silly girl.

Stay tuned… the girls went on a visit to someone special today and we will have pictures soon.
